Tests organised by the surgery

Results of investigations e.g. blood tests, x-rays etc. are available by telephoning 028 90 320777.  Our phone lines can be extremely busy in the morning so you may find it easier to access your result by phoning us in the afternoon.

It can take up to one week for blood tests and x-ray results to be processed so we ask that you do not contact surgery before this unless asked to do so by your doctor.  If a result requires urgent attention a member of the practice team will contact you directly.  Please make sure we have up to date contact details.

If we are unable to contact you in this way, we will write a letter advising you of the result or to contact the surgery.

Tests organised by your hospital consultant

We do not automatically receive copies of all of the tests you have had done.  These results will go directly to the doctor in the hospital who requested them.  The consultant will then inform you of the result in writing or will arrange a review appointment to discuss them.  It is important that the person who requests the test informs you of the result as they will be able to inform you of any further tests or treatment that may be required.
